HEO Certification / Qualification Requirements

All coaches, Staff and Trainers will be required to take:

Gender Identity and Expression Course

Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders

Trainer/Safety Course:

Starting in July of 2024, HEO has moved from the HTO (Hockey Trainers of Ontario) course, to the Hockey Canada Safety Course for their Level 1 Trainer qualification. Level 1 Trainers who are currently qualified under the HTO are eligible until their HTO qualification expires. All new trainers are required to take the new Hockey Canada Safety course.
